About a year ago, my good friend Roy Schoeman invited me to be chaplain for a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Me? I must say such a grace always seemed to me to be a dream that would never be realised. And here I was being offered out of the blue a free pilgrimage on which I would give the spiritual reflections. Impossible to say no, and so I said yes!
And so here I am about to leave Jerusalem and conscious of the fact that some of our friends would probably like to know a bit more. I have been sending daily updates to the brethren in Lindisfarne, but have edited my journal and would now like to share it with anyone interested in what is involved in such a pilgrimage. A few photos will also be included.
